5 years from now, you wake up one fine morning & go to your doctor for regular checkup
The doctor tells you “ You have a fatty liver, which is usually caused by alcohol”
and you go into this spiral loop wondering “how in this world I got fatty liver when i don't even drink alcohol?”
Maybe that “Sharma uncle's” story was right after-all (Indian pun)
Maybe but it doesn’t have to be that way
Fatty liver has become very common today, nearly 10 million cases in India only every year
But the common misconception among the majority is the fatty liver is only caused by alcohol
Non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD) is similar to how heavy alcohol consumption damages the liver
But instead, its caused by your eating habits and it’s so bad that even 10-year-old kids are suffering from it
Not just NAFLD, almost all of the chronic diseases/metabolic disorders are associated with high insulin
Obesity
Diabetes
Hypertension
Dyslipidemia
Renal failure
NAFLD
Polycystic ovary syndrome
Sleep apnea
Certain cancers
Atherosclerosis
Cardiovascular disease
High insulin basically means your blood glucose levels are very high. Also referred to as Hyperinsulinemia
So what causes high insulin?
Eat too much carbs & fats together which is basically all your junk. All junk food foods like ice cream & chips are made from processed carbs & fats.
The occasional treat is ok.
But if you consistently eat the foods that Big Food wants you to eat..
Chronic diseases like fatty liver are a likely outcome.
Taking care of yourself doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming.
It doesn't need to be bland and boring, either.
Here are the three simple things you can do today to fix your health
Get your blood tested to know your blood sugar levels
Cut out processed vegetable oils & processed carbs
Reduce sugar to a minimum
